Generator Maintenance and Repair Services for the Austin State Supported Living Center

Background
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking competitive bids to establish contracts for generator maintenance and repair services for the Austin State Supported Living Center (AuSSLC).

The HHSC oversees the planning and delivery of health and human services in Texas, and both HHSC and the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) will be entitled to use any contract awarded as a result of this Invitation for Bids (IFB).

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive generator maintenance and repair services, including preventive maintenance, inspection, and as-needed repairs.

Services must comply with manufacturer specifications and relevant National Fire Protection Association standards. Specific tasks include checking for leaks, oil levels, coolant levels, battery systems, conducting quarterly oil changes, performing load bank tests annually, and ensuring all equipment is maintained according to safety standards.

The contractor must also provide Safety Data Sheets for any chemicals used.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is September 1, 2025. The contract duration will be specified in the awarded contract documents.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Austin State Supported Living Center located at 4301 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, TX 78751.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of five years of relevant experience and provide verifiable references.

Personnel assigned to perform services must be licensed electricians through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and at least 18 years old. A HUB Subcontracting Plan is encouraged if subcontracting opportunities are identified.
