Generator, ATS and Docking Station - Telford Unit

Background
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of an emergency generator and automatic transfer switch at the Telford Unit, specifically for the 19 Dormitory.
The goal of this contract is to ensure reliable power supply through the installation of new equipment, enhancing operational efficiency and safety within the facility.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide one (1) emergency generator, one (1) automatic transfer switch (ATS), and one (1) docking station.
The specifications are as follows:
- Emergency Generator: 150kW, 480/277VAC, 3-phase, 60Hz, wye, 4-wire, housed in weatherproof casing.
- Automatic Transfer Switch: 400A, 480/277VAC, 3-phase, 4-wire, NEMA 1 rated.
- Docking Station: 400A, 480/277VAC, NEMA 3R rated.
Additionally, the contractor must remove existing equipment including an old emergency generator and a manual transfer switch located in specified areas of the facility.
New conduits and conductors must be installed from the generator to the docking station and from the docking station to the main disconnect switch feeding the dormitory.
If necessary, a concrete pad may need to be extended to accommodate the new generator.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period that begins upon award and continues until all work is completed as specified in the solicitation documents.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Telford Unit located in Texas.

They are also required to provide documentation supporting installer qualifications with their bid.
All work must be performed by qualified personnel who hold necessary licenses or certifications relevant to their tasks.
