Furniture Districtwide

The Houston Independent School District (HISD) is seeking proposals from qualified individuals and/or organizations for the procurement of select goods and/or services related to the Furniture Districtwide project. This solicitation aims to identify vendors capable of supplying furniture across the district as specified within this Request for Proposals (RFP). Vendors are invited to respond to this solicitation to be considered for contract award and designation as an HISD Approved Vendor for this project. The Houston Independent School District is the entity requesting these proposals. In accordance with HISD policies and procedures, only vendors who have been approved through a formal procurement process and awarded a contract by the HISD Board of Managers are authorized to provide goods and services to HISD schools and departments. The background for this contract is that HISD requires vendors to meet predetermined criteria, including compliance with liability insurance requirements and participation in the Minority/Women Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) Program. Vendors who meet these criteria and successfully complete the evaluation process may be recommended to the Board of Education for contract award. Upon formal approval, the HISD Purchasing Services department will issue a Notice of Award letter, confirming the vendor's status as an Approved Vendor for the Furniture Districtwide project. The contract requirements include responding to this solicitation with all required information and documentation. The tentative term of the project is from March 9, 2026, through March 8, 2027, with four automatic annual renewals, not to extend beyond March 8, 2031. HISD may, at its sole discretion, extend the project for up to ninety (90) days for business continuity purposes if necessary. Vendors interested in submitting a proposal should participate in the Pre-Proposal Conference, which will be held virtually via Microsoft.
