Ft. Worth Janitorial Services

Background
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is seeking bids for janitorial and outside premises cleaning services for its offices located at 301 West 13th Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and safe working environment for TWC employees and visitors. TWC is responsible for administering the procurement process, which includes the announcement of the Invitation for Bids (IFB), communication with bidders, receipt of responses, and evaluation of qualified bids.

Work Details
The successful bidder will provide comprehensive janitorial services including daily cleaning of restrooms, office areas, and outside premises. Specific tasks include:

- Daily cleaning of restrooms twice (once during normal hours and once after hours), including disinfecting wash basins, commodes, urinals, emptying trash receptacles, and refilling supplies.
- Daily outside building maintenance such as sweeping sidewalks, emptying trash in parking areas, and snow removal when necessary.
- Weekly tasks include spray buffing tile floors and dusting surfaces.
- Monthly tasks include vacuuming high ledges and light fixtures.
- Quarterly tasks involve cleaning windows and stripping floors with UL-approved wax.
- Semi-annual carpet cleaning as requested by TWC. The contractor must provide all necessary supplies except for those specified to be provided by TWC.

Period of Performance
The contract term will commence upon execution and is set to expire on August 31, 2026. TWC has the option to renew the contract for four additional one-year terms based on performance and availability of funding.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Texas Workforce Commission offices located at 301 West 13th Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Texas Government Code Chapter 2161 regarding Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) and submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan as part of their bid response. Additionally, bidders must complete a financial questionnaire unless they are governmental entities. Insurance requirements must also be met as outlined in Attachment 2 - Insurance Requirements.
