Fire & Police Station Renovations and Additions

Background
The City of Aransas Pass is undertaking the Fire & Police Station Renovations and Additions Project to enhance the existing facilities for both the Police Department and Municipal Court. This project aims to improve public safety services in the community by constructing new living quarters for the Fire Department.

Work Details
The project includes:
- Renovation of the existing Police Department and Municipal Court building.
- Construction of a new one-story 2,000 square feet entry addition to the police department on the south side of the existing building.
- Construction of a one-story 1,200 square feet addition to the Municipal Court building.
- Construction of a two-story addition with a plan area of 2,000 square feet on the west side of the existing facility.
- The foundation will consist of monolithic stiffened beam and slab-on-grade, with spread footings and grade beams designed for a maximum vertical movement (PVM) of ½ inch.
- Site preparation will include excavation, fill compaction, and installation of drainage systems to manage water runoff effectively.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence after May 18th, 2026, following the bid submission deadline.

Place of Performance
The construction will take place at 600 W. Cleveland Boulevard, Aransas Pass, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders are required to submit a bid bond with their proposals. Additionally, contractors must ensure compliance with local regulations regarding construction practices and safety standards.
