Background
Magnolia Independent School District (ISD) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP# 011326) for Fire and Burglary Monitoring and Inspection Services. The objective of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified firms to provide comprehensive monitoring and inspection services for fire and security systems across various district locations. The goal is to ensure the safety and compliance of all fire and security systems within the district.
Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for:
1. Routine Services:
A. Providing 24/7 monitoring services for both Fire Alarm systems and Security Alarm systems, including call-out services for District personnel and local emergency personnel as specified by Magnolia ISD.
B. Assisting in programming and assigning Alarm Codes as needed.
2. Summer/Annual Services:
A. Conducting annual inspections of all Fire Sprinkler Systems, ensuring compliance with codes, and providing reports on deficiencies.
B. Performing annual inspections and certifications of all District Fire Alarm systems, including smoke detectors, audible alarms, visual alarms, etc.
C. Conducting annual inspections of all Security Alarm systems including control panels, motion detectors, door breaks, sirens, and alarm codes.
D. Inspecting and certifying all Ansul systems in school kitchens and culinary rooms annually.
E. Performing Annual Fire Extinguisher Inspections.
3. Call out services are limited to monitoring and inspection only; the district reserves the right to call out any service provider of their choosing for servicing.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence in March 2026 with an initial term lasting until February 2027, with options for renewal each year up to a total duration of five years.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the Magnolia Independent School District as outlined in Exhibit A of the RFP.
Bidder Requirements
Proposers must be licensed to operate in Texas and Montgomery County, have at least three years of relevant experience, provide proof of insurance including general liability coverage of at least $1 million per occurrence, worker’s compensation insurance as required by law, and automobile liability insurance with specified limits. Additionally, vendors must comply with background check requirements for employees who will have direct contact with students.
