Fence Installation, Maintenance, Repair, and Related Services

Work Requested:
Houston Independent School District (HISD) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide comprehensive fence installation, maintenance, repair, and related services. The selected vendor(s) will be responsible for:

• Installing new fencing as required by HISD schools and departments
• Performing ongoing maintenance of existing fences
• Conducting repairs to damaged or deteriorating fencing
• Providing any related services associated with fencing projects

Who is Requesting:
This solicitation is issued by the Houston Independent School District (HISD).

Background:
Under HISD policies, only "Approved Vendors" those who have met specific pre-determined criteria through a formal procurement process and have been awarded a contract by the HISD Board of Managers are authorized to provide goods and services to HISD schools and departments. The process to become an Approved Vendor begins with responding to this Request for Proposals (RFP).

Contract Requirements:
To be considered, vendors must:

• Respond to this solicitation and submit all required information and documentation
• Comply with HISD's liability insurance requirements
• Participate in the Minority/Women Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) Program

After evaluation and verification of compliance, one or more vendors may be recommended to the Board of Education for contract award. Upon formal approval, the HISD Purchasing Services department will issue a Notice of Award letter, confirming the vendor's status as an Approved Vendor for this project.

Instructions on Submission:
Vendors interested in becoming an Approved Vendor for this project must respond to this RFP by submitting all required documentation and information as specified in the solicitation.

Additional Information:
The tentative contract term is from August 13, 2026, through August 12, 2027, with four (4) automatic annual renewals, not to extend beyond August.
