Background
The Workforce Solutions Capital Area Workforce Board (WFSCA) is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or organizations to provide executive search services for the agency’s next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Board serves as the leadership and governing body for the Austin/Travis County workforce system, administering workforce development services and programs. Established in 1984 as a non-profit corporation in Texas, WFSCA is part of the Texas Workforce Solutions Network and acts as the designated grant recipient for workforce development program funds allocated to the Austin/Travis County area.
Work Details
The selected executive search firm will provide comprehensive services including:
1. Developing an ideal candidate profile by consulting with the CEO Search Committee;
2. Implementing recruitment strategies through various publications and outreach;
3. Screening resumes and conducting interviews to prepare a summary of top candidates;
4. Conducting reference checks and presenting a shortlist of candidates for final interviews;
5. Coordinating interview processes and debriefing with the Search Committee;
6. Assisting in structuring job offers and employment packages;
7. Providing regular status reports to the Search Committee and candidates throughout the process.
Period of Performance
The contract performance period will commence on or shortly after August 18, 2025, and will conclude upon hiring a CEO or by written termination from the WFSCA CEO Search Committee, not extending beyond April 14, 2026.
Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at WFSCA's office located at 9001 N I-35, Suite 110E, Austin, Texas 78753.
Bidder Requirements
Eligible proposers must demonstrate experience with executive searches for non-profit organizations of similar size and scope. Minority, disadvantaged, veteran, and women-owned businesses are encouraged to apply. Proposers must be familiar with applicable federal and state laws and regulations. They must also certify that they are not debarred or suspended from participation in federal contracts.
