ERP Assessment and Implementation Consultant

Background
The Texas Tech University System (TTUS) was established in 1996 and has grown to become a leading public university system in the United States. The system includes five component institutions and operates globally. TTUS is initiating a project to assess its current Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment, specifically the Banner system, through a comprehensive consulting engagement aimed at evaluating and improving its ERP capabilities across all institutions.

Work Details
The selected consultant will be responsible for:

1. Evaluating the current state of the shared ERP environment, including third-party applications and internally developed add-ons.

2. Gathering comprehensive ERP business needs from key stakeholders across TTUS institutions.

3. Identifying deficiencies in current platform configurations, business processes, and data architecture.

4. Recommending technological improvements or innovations, including cloud-native solutions.

5. Summarizing functionality required for a unified future-state ERP environment that supports strategic priorities of TTUS and its component institutions.

6. Evaluating compliance and risks associated with current and planned ERP systems.

7. Assisting in drafting and executing RFPs to select an optimal ERP system or combination of systems, as well as an implementation partner for successful deployment.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and will continue until the completion of services as outlined in the RFP, with specific timelines for deliverables to be established during project planning.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within Texas, specifically at the campuses of Texas Tech University, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Angelo State University, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, and Midwestern State University.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must demonstrate extensive experience with higher education ERP implementations. They should provide a proven project methodology, deliver regular project progress reports, protect data as required by FERPA and HIPAA regulations, and have experience developing RFPs for ERP solutions in higher education.
