Description

DPS is requesting responses for demolition of buildings, paddock/arena fencing, horse stalls, site cleanup, clear cutting of small trees/shrubs, and creation of main entry road bed with buried conduit for future use located at 12708 Pfluger Berkman Road, Coupland, TX 78615. All work must be completed prior to 6/8/2025.

Background
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking responses for a demolition project at the THP Equine Center located at 12708 Pfluger Berkman Road, Coupland, TX 78615. The purpose of this contract is to facilitate the demolition of various structures and site improvements as part of the Phase Two development of the equine center.

The DPS aims to clear the site for future use while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the complete demolition and removal of the following:
- Shed Row Barn (24' x 72'), including salvaging 2x wood boards in stalls and disposing of other components.
- Wooden round pen.
- Feed bunk shed behind the arena building.
- All existing paddock and arena fencing, with backfilling of holes left by removal.
- Wood post fence with electric wire, including backfilling holes.
- Post and roof canopies in paddock areas.
- Horse stalls in the main arena, preparing area for new modular stalls.
- Cleanup of wood shavings, manure piles, and abandoned equipment throughout the property.
- Clear cutting small trees and shrubs around the water tank, backfilling uprooted trees with compacted sand.
- Cleaning out hay barn completely, removing all pallets, trash, and equipment.
- Relocating temporary shed as directed by owner.
- Rough grading to provide future drive lanes and walks as shown in site plans.

Period of Performance
All work must be completed prior to June 8, 2025.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must conduct a scheduled site visit prior to submitting their proposal. The contractor is required to provide a warranty covering all new materials and labor costs for one year from substantial completion.
