Background
The Texas A&M University System (A&M System) is one of the largest higher education systems in the United States, with an annual budget of $8.1 billion. It encompasses 12 universities and various state agencies, serving approximately 175,000 students and millions more through outreach programs. The A&M System aims to enhance its training capabilities by implementing a Learning Management System (LMS) that will be utilized across all member institutions through a unified single sign-on platform.
Work Details
The selected vendor will provide a Software as a Service (SaaS) based LMS that supports training for both employees and external personnel across multiple institutions within the A&M System. Key requirements include:
1. Support for over 50,000 users with automatic course assignments and a training records management system.
2. Implementation services including training, documentation, and ongoing support.
3. Features for system administration, including multi-institution configuration, user management, course management (including waitlists and evaluations), and performance monitoring.
4. Security measures for data protection and disaster recovery plans.
5. Integration capabilities with existing systems and external platforms such as LinkedIn Learning.
6. Comprehensive reporting tools for tracking user progress, course completions, and compliance training.
Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is expected to be three years from the execution date, with options to extend for two additional two-year terms upon mutual agreement.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed across all member institutions of the Texas A&M University System located throughout Texas.
Bidder Requirements
Respondents must demonstrate experience in providing LMS solutions to higher education institutions. They should also comply with any necessary certifications or registrations required by the A&M System, including insurance requirements as specified in Section 4.6 of the RFP.
