Description

Background
The City of Waco is issuing this solicitation for the Emergency Standby Generators Installation Project. This project aims to enhance the operational capabilities of the Riverside Water Treatment Plant and Operations Building by installing standby generators to ensure continuous water service during power outages. This reflects the city's commitment to maintaining essential services for its residents.

Work Details
The project involves all labor, materials, equipment, appurtenances, and incidentals necessary for the installation of generator systems at the Riverside Water Treatment Plant High Service Pump Station and Riverside Operations Building. This includes:
- Demolition and abandonment of existing components as per project specifications.
- Construction of civil site work including grading, subgrade preparation, paving, concrete curbs, sidewalks, and erosion control measures.
- Installation of 5 kV and 600 volt cables with terminations and testing.
- Installation of a 5kV fused switch for the generator and associated switchgear.
- Concrete foundations for generators and switchgear pads.
- Modifications to existing structures to accommodate new equipment.
- Temporary generator provision during service changes.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to reach substantial completion within 150 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed date and final completion within 180 calendar days.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Riverside Water Treatment Plant located at 200 Colcord Ave., Waco, TX 76707.

Bidder Requirements
General Contractors must self-perform at least 51% of the project work. A bid bond or certified check amounting to 5% of the total bid is required with submissions. The contractor must comply with all local regulations and provide necessary insurance documentation.
