Emergency Medical, Safety, and Rescue Equipment

Background
The Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments (H-GAC) is soliciting offerings for the furnishing of emergency medical, safety, and rescue equipment and supplies through its Cooperative Purchasing Program (HGACBuy). The program aims to provide cooperative contract products and services to Texas local governments and in other states if their statutes allow. H-GAC is combining the previous EE08-19 Emergency Medical and Rescue Equipment contract and the EP11-20 Emergency Preparedness and Safety Equipment contract to provide a comprehensive selection of products to its members.

Work Details
The solicitation includes categories for emergency medical equipment, emergency safety equipment, and emergency rescue equipment.
The emergency medical equipment category covers a comprehensive range of emergency medical response equipment and supplies, including defibrillators, patient monitoring equipment, medical kits, etc.
The emergency safety equipment category includes electronic personnel accountability systems, personal protective equipment, decontamination products, etc.
The emergency rescue equipment category encompasses tools such as spreaders, cutters, thermal imaging equipment, drones, water rescue equipment, etc.
Respondents are advised to offer a wide array of services within each service category listed.

Period of Performance
The resulting contract(s) will have a term of four years with an option for a one-year extension. H-GAC reserves the right to extend and/or expand the scope of the contract if deemed to be in its best interest.

Place of Performance
The geographic coverage information must demonstrate the ability to meet the needs of Customers throughout the United States. Respondents are expected to expand the scope of their marketing effort to include sales to Customers in all areas of the United States.
