Background
Texas Southern University (TSU) is seeking proposals for Electrical Systems Preventive Maintenance to ensure the reliability and safety of its electrical systems. Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive electrical systems preventive maintenance services, including but not limited to:
- Regular inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and components such as switchgear, transformers, and feeders.

- Specific tasks include:
- Switchgear Maintenance Services/Testing: Inspecting and testing all voltage electrical panels and transformers, ensuring functional switchgear, identifying deficiencies, and providing backup plans for failures.
- Transformer Maintenance: Conducting visual inspections, oil sampling for insulation stability, verifying liquid levels in tanks, and performing insulation resistance tests.
- Generator Service Requirements: Performing preventive maintenance on generators powered by natural gas and diesel, including inspections, testing of automatic/manual transfer switches, and ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.

- The contractor must execute all work without subcontracting to third parties.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for three (3) years from the execution date with two (2) optional one-year extensions.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Texas Southern University located at 3100 Cleburne Street, Houston, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have NETA-Certified Technicians (Level II or above), a valid State of Texas Electrical License (Journeyman or Master), OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification, and a minimum of three years' experience with 5kV to 35kV systems. Additionally, bidders must submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan if applicable.
