Description

The Contract is with the City of Austin, acting through Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Austin Energy (AE), for the installation, repair, testing, and related services of electrical gear within multiple City facilities. These include eleven AUS facilities and six AE district cooling plants. The scope encompasses electrical gear with equipment ratings for both low voltage (up to 600 volts) and medium voltage (up to 15,000 volts). The Contractor shall be responsible for the installation, testing, start-up, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, documentation, and improvement of Electrical Systems. This includes, but is not limited to, power distribution systems, rotating equipment and associated controls, and on-site power generation.
Background

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the installation, testing, start-up, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, documentation, and improvement of Electrical Systems. This encompasses power distribution systems, rotating equipment and associated controls, and on-site power generation. Specific tasks include:
- Installation of electrical gear
- Repair services for existing electrical systems
- Testing and calibration of electrical equipment
- Documentation of all maintenance activities
- Troubleshooting issues with electrical systems
- Improvement initiatives for existing electrical infrastructure.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and continue until all obligations are fulfilled. The offers are due by July 10, 2025.

Services will be performed at various locations including eleven AUS facilities and six AE district cooling plants in Austin, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the City’s Living Wage Program. Additionally, they must ensure that all personnel employed are competent and skilled in their respective roles. The contractor must not employ any worker who has been deemed incompetent or disorderly by the City.
