Electrical Generator Repair and Maintenance Services

Background
The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is seeking sealed bids for electrical generator repair and maintenance services. This contract aims to ensure the reliability and operational efficiency of approximately 58 generator units located at various NTMWD-owned sites throughout the service area. Maintaining these generators is critical to supporting NTMWD's mission of providing reliable water and wastewater services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections for the generator units, which includes:
- Preventative Maintenance Services: Develop a schedule for maintenance activities, including visual inspections, service checks, oil changes, and cleaning.
- Annual Preventative Maintenance (APM): Conduct comprehensive inspections and tests once a year, including oil and fuel analysis.
- Quarterly Preventative Maintenance (QPM): Perform maintenance three times a year with specific tasks outlined in the specifications.
- Load Bank Testing: Conduct resistive load bank tests as needed with prior authorization.
- Oil and Fuel Analysis: Perform lab testing on oil and fuel samples to determine condition and necessary actions.
- Manual and Automatic Transfer Switch (MTS/ATS) Maintenance: Conduct annual transfer tests to validate performance.
- Repair Services: Provide on-call repairs as needed based on time and materials.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be for one year from the date of the last signatory, with options to renew for four additional one-year periods unless terminated by NTMWD with a 60-day notice prior to expiration.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various NTMWD-owned locations throughout the service area in North Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have at least five years of similar experience, possess required licenses to operate in Texas, and ensure that all services are performed by manufacturer-certified technicians or those holding current NETA Level III/IV certification. Additionally, contractors must provide proof of insurance coverage including commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation, and must comply with NTMWD's insurance requirements.
