Katy Independent School District (Katy ISD) is a rapidly growing school district with an enrollment of approximately 95,000 students, projected to exceed 98,000 by the 2025-2026 school year. The district aims to enhance the professional growth and effectiveness of its educators through this Request for Proposals (RFP) for Districtwide Staff Development and Materials. The goal is to contract with service providers who can deliver interactive, research-based professional development focused on supporting PreK-12 teachers and district personnel.
Work Details
The services required under this contract include:
1. Professional development content in various subject areas such as Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, Instructional Coaching, Gifted and Talented, Art, Music, and Physical Education.
2. Delivery methods including face-to-face training, online webinars, conferences, training-of-trainers, consultation, and on-the-job coaching and observation.
3. Development of teachers into lifelong learners who seek feedback and growth opportunities.
4. Support for English learners through effective language instruction educational programs.
5. Interventions for at-risk students including dyslexia and reading interventions.
6. Counseling support aligned with the Texas Model for comprehensive school counseling programs.
7. Special education support across various areas including speech pathology and inclusive practices.
8. Instructional technology integration to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be from the date of award through June 1, 2027, with options to renew annually for up to four additional years.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various campuses within Katy ISD located in Katy, Texas.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors must comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding public purchasing. Vendors must provide an IRS Form W-9 and may be required to submit a Certificate of Interested Parties (Form 1295) if the contract value exceeds $1 million. Additionally, vendors are expected to maintain liability insurance as specified in the RFP.
