Diesel Generator Supply, Installation, and Removal Services

Background
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking bids to establish a purchase order for the procurement of a diesel generator, including the installation and removal of old equipment. This initiative aligns with TDCJ's mission to ensure safety and efficiency in its operations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a diesel generator, specifically a Gillette 151EW 240Y 3PH with a 24HR tank level 2 enclosure and a 4554 breaker with 12 lead high delta. The scope of work includes:
- Installation of the new generator
- Removal of existing equipment
- Re-wiring to the existing manual transfer switch
- Start-up and training for four employees
- Testing by a factory-certified technician
- Provision of one set of manuals upon delivery, including an installation manual, operation manual, maintenance manual, detailed electrical schematics, and parts manual.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and will continue until all services are completed and accepted by TDCJ. Specific timelines for delivery and installation will be outlined in the purchase order.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Jester III - Unit Maintenance located at 3 Jester Rd., Richmond, TX 77406.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Texas Government Code regulations regarding procurement. They must not be listed on the Federal Government's Terrorism Watch List as described in Executive Order 13224. The vendor must provide proof of insurance covering liability ($1,000,000), auto ($500,000), and worker's compensation as per statutory requirements. Bidders are also required to submit their Texas Identification Number (TIN) and comply with E-Verify requirements.
