Design-Build RFQ - Student Housing - Texas A&M University Central Texas

Background
The Texas A&M University System Office of Facilities Planning & Construction (FP&C) is soliciting statements of qualifications for the selection of a Design-Build (DB) firm for the Student Housing project at Texas A&M University-Central Texas. This initiative is part of the Board of Regents' efforts to enhance student living accommodations and support the university's mission.

Work Details
The project involves the construction of a housing village on a sloping site, which will include three three-story apartment buildings totaling 144 beds. The apartments will feature a mix of two-bedroom and four-bedroom units arranged in a garden-style layout, with direct access from covered, non-conditioned exterior stairs.

Additionally, the project includes a single-story amenity center that will house various facilities such as a mailroom, laundry facility, common lounge space, and a covered outdoor gathering area equipped with a kitchen for residents. The total Planning Amount for this project is $30,000,000, which includes an Amount Available for Construction Contract (AACC) of $23,878,000.
