Design Build (RFQ) - South Campus Buried Pipe Replacement - Y Loop and K Courtyard

Background
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is a leading academic medical center known for its research, education, and clinical care. Work Details
The contract involves professional design and construction services for the replacement of existing direct-buried chilled water and steam distribution infrastructure serving the South Campus. The work will include:
- Assessment of current infrastructure
- Design of new chilled water and steam distribution systems
- Construction activities related to the installation of new piping systems
- Compliance with Owner's Design Guidelines, Design Criteria Package, Mechanical Design Requirements, Piping Valves and Fittings specifications, Constructability Guidelines, Master Specifications, Safety Guidelines, Quality Control specifications, Temporary Storm Water Control specifications, Project Closeout Procedures, General Commissioning specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on April 1, 2026, with a closing date for submissions on May 15, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the South Campus of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Bidders must demonstrate understanding of various guidelines and requirements including General Information & Requirements for this RFQ, Owner's Design Guidelines, Mechanical Design Requirements, Constructability Guidelines for UT System Construction Projects, and Owner's Master Specifications. Additionally, bidders must provide proof of certification regarding franchise tax status and compliance with Texas Family Code Section 231.006.
