Dental Services, Waco Center for Youth

Background
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking competitive bids to establish contracts for Dental Services for the inpatient population at the Waco Center for Youth (WCY).

The HHSC oversees the planning and delivery of health and human services in Texas, and the Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division administers this Invitation for Bids (IFB). Both HHSC and the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) will be entitled to use any contract awarded as a result of this IFB.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive dental services including:
- Dental exams
- Consultations
- X-rays
- General dentistry/restorative services
- Preventative procedures
- Tooth extractions
- Surgical and non-surgical root canal therapy
- Direct and indirect restorations
- Fixed and removable prosthetics/devices
- Dental implant restorations
- Deep scaling root planning
- Crown lengthening
- Biopsies
- Pathology evaluations.

All services must comply with Texas State Board of Dental Examiners' requirements. The contractor must hold a DDS or DMS degree in dentistry, and their facility must be located within 15 miles of WCY.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is upon award. Services are to be performed Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central Time. Emergency services may be required outside regular hours.

Place of Performance
Services will be provided at the Waco Center for Youth located at 3501 N. 19th St., Waco, TX 76708.
