Dental Services at San Angelo State Supported Living Center

Background
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is an agency within the Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) system, responsible for overseeing and coordinating health and human services in Texas. The Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division of HHSC administers Invitations for Bids (IFBs) for HHS. This IFB seeks competitive bids to establish contracts for dental services at the San Angelo State Supported Living Center (SGSSLC). Both HHSC and the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) will have access to any contract awarded as a result of this IFB.

Work Details
The contractor will provide dental services for the inpatient population at the SGSSLC dental clinic, including:

1. Oral surgery, extractions (including 3rd molars), implants, evaluations, retained root procedures, biopsies, and pathology evaluations.

2. Dental exams, consults, x-rays, general dentistry/restorative services including preventative procedures, tooth extractions, surgical and non-surgical root canal therapy, restorations, fixed/removable prosthetics/devices, dental implant restorations, deep scaling/root planning, crown lengthening.

3. Annual exams and consultations by a licensed dentist. The contractor must maintain certifications and licenses including a DDS or DMS degree in dentistry and comply with all requirements of the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is contingent upon the award date following the response deadline of August 22, 2025.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold a DDS or DMS degree in dentistry and maintain all necessary certifications and licenses in good standing throughout the contract term. They must also provide verifiable references for similar services performed within the last five years.
