Background
Texas Southern University (TSU) is an elite, Carnegie R2 Institution and one of the largest Historically Black Colleges/Universities (HBCUs) in the nation. The university is seeking to establish a contract for demolition services as part of its ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving its facilities.

The goal of this contract is to facilitate the demolition of two buildings owned by TSU, which aligns with the university's strategic plan for campus development and enhancement.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the complete demolition of two buildings:

- Lanier East Dormitory: a 6-story building with a total size of 135,443 sq. ft., located on the TSU campus.
- Duplex: located at 3003 Alabama Street.

The contractor is responsible for ensuring safety during operations, complying with all applicable laws and regulations, securing necessary permits, and providing a detailed project timeline. The contractor must also ensure that normal university operations are not disrupted during the demolition process.

Period of Performance
The contract is for a one-time purchase for immediate work, with specific timelines to be provided by the contractor in their proposal.

Place of Performance
The demolition work will take place on the Texas Southern University campus in Houston, Texas.
