Davis WTP Raw Water Hydraulic and Energy Efficiency Imprmts

Background
The City of Austin's Public Works Department is issuing this solicitation for the Davis WTP Raw Water Hydraulic and Energy Efficiency Improvements project. The goal of this project is to enhance the hydraulic and energy efficiency at the Low Service Pump Station and High Service Pump Station. This includes replacing the surge tank at the High Service Pump Station and installing an 8-inch water line for service to the Low Service Pump Station.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for installing hydraulic and energy efficiency improvements, which specifically include:

1) Replacement of the surge tank at the High Service Pump Station;
2) Installation of an 8-inch water line to provide water service to the Low Service Pump Station.

The work must comply with all applicable safety standards as outlined in the ROCIP Project Safety Manual.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified duration as defined in the solicitation documents, typically ranging from several months to a year depending on project complexity.

The work will be conducted at the Davis Water Treatment Plant, located in Austin, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with specific safety requirements as outlined in the ROCIP Project Safety Manual. Contractors are required to maintain appropriate safety staffing based on project value and man-hours. Additionally, they must provide evidence of their safety performance history, including EMR (Experience Modification Rate), LTIR (Loss Time Incident Rate), TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate), and DART (Days Away-Restricted-Transferred) rates.
