The Harris County Hospital District, operating as Harris Health, is seeking proposals for the refurbishment of the Chilled Water Heat Exchanger Plates and system upgrades at Ben Taub Hospital. Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all personnel, labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the refurbishment of the Chilled Water Heat Exchanger Plates and system upgrades. The work includes but is not limited to:
- Refurbishing existing heat exchanger plates
- Upgrading associated systems to improve efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant specifications and standards as detailed in the Project Manual and Drawings available in Euna.
All rates quoted must be all-inclusive, covering all charges for labor, materials, equipment, and any other costs incurred.
Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed after the award date and will continue until completion of the project as specified in the contract documents.

The work will be performed at Ben Taub Hospital located at 1504 Taub Loop, Houston, Texas 77030.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Texas Government Code regarding prevailing wage rates and provide certified payroll records weekly. A performance bond of 100% of the construction budget is required. Additionally, bidders must submit a MWBE Utilization Plan to meet Harris Health’s goal of 18% participation from Minority/Woman-owned Business Entities.
