Cosmetology services, Richmond State Supported Living Center

Background
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking competitive bids to establish contracts for cosmetology services for residents of the Richmond State Supported Living Center (RSSLC).

The HHSC oversees the planning and delivery of health and human services in Texas. This contract aims to provide essential grooming services to enhance the quality of life for residents.

Work Details
The awarded vendor will provide licensed cosmetology services, specifically haircuts and haircare for women, to 318 residents at RSSLC. Services must include:
1) Hair Cut and Bang Trim;
2) Monthly on-campus service provision;
3) Background checks via fingerprinting;
4) Attendance at new hire orientation;
5) Completion of a Consultant Log at each visit.

The contractor must ensure that all personnel have a valid Texas Cosmetology License and meet minimum experience requirements.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is upon award, with services required monthly thereafter.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Richmond State Supported Living Center located at 2100 Preston, Richmond, TX 77471.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold a current Cosmetology License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration. They must also provide documentation of three years of relevant experience, two years of experience for assigned personnel, and three verifiable references for similar contracts within the last two years. Additionally, all personnel must pass background checks before commencing work.
