Background
The Texas A&M University System (A&M System), Office of Facilities Planning & Construction (FP&C), is seeking statements of qualifications from firms with proven experience in providing construction project support personnel and related project management services.
The A&M System aims to enhance its physical facilities to support its educational, research, and service missions across its 11 universities and various agencies. The goal is to establish a master services agreement with multiple companies to meet the needs of FP&C managed construction projects.
Work Details
The selected firms will provide a range of services including:
1. Project Management Staff Augmentation:
- On-site Representatives to coordinate daily activities, ensure quality assurance, assist in project closeout, and manage third-party contracts.
- Project Managers to provide technical guidance, ensure compliance with construction documents, act as customer service representatives, organize meetings, and negotiate contracts.
2. Inspection Services for Developer Projects:
- Inspect construction work for compliance with contract documents and codes.
- Coordinate special inspections, document deficiencies, and issue inspection deficiency lists.
3. Forensic Scheduling:
- Analyze construction schedules for critical path adherence and present findings to the project manager.
4. Cost Estimating:
- Provide third-party cost estimates based on project requirements and reconcile estimates with those from general contractors.
5. Subcontractor Outreach:
- Assist in outreach efforts to Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) for capital construction projects.
Period of Performance
The initial term of the agreement is anticipated to be three (3) years with options for two additional two-year extensions upon mutual agreement.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed throughout the State of Texas at various locations associated with the Texas A&M University System.
