The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD, the state-designated Local Mental Health Authority and Local Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority serving Harris County, Texas, is seeking proposals for the construction of a Northeast Community Wellness Center. This initiative aims to transform the lives of individuals with behavioral health and IDD needs by providing accessible and integrated care.

Work Details
The project involves the construction of a Community Wellness Center that includes all necessary mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. The selected contractor will be responsible for adhering to specifications outlined in the project manual available through RDLR Architects.
The project is funded by federal grants and bond issuance. Key components include:
1. Construction of the facility as per architectural plans.
2. Compliance with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates.
3. Participation of small, minority, women-owned businesses is encouraged.
4. Bid alternates include interior aluminum frames, ceramic tile scope, canopies scope, cable trays scope, playground protective surfacing, and decorative concrete pavement.

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to follow a timeline established during the pre-proposal conference on February 27, 2025. Proposals are due by March 17, 2025.
