The River Authority is soliciting competitive sealed proposals for the construction of the Spirit Reach Contemplative Path. The scope of work includes:
- Extending the Spirit Reach initiative to connect major San Antonio River destinations including the Missions, Riverwalk, Pearl District, and Brackenridge Park to the University of the Incarnate Word, The Blue Hole, and Headwaters Sanctuary.
- Completing a safe crossing under Hildebrand Avenue to link Brackenridge Park with the river's headwaters.
- Enhancing regional connectivity, honoring Native American heritage associated with the river, and uniting public and private lands to showcase cultural and ecological resources.
- Constructing approximately 3,200 linear feet of concrete trail.
- Building 1,400 linear feet of natural surface trail.
- Restoring 1,400 linear feet of stream to encourage public engagement with the city's landscapes, history, and the legacy of the San Antonio River.
