Background
TDI is seeking a vendor to provide virtual and in-person conference planning and education credit management services for the annual Texas Workers' Compensation Conference. The vendor will be reimbursed solely through registration fees from conference attendees. The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) regulates the state’s insurance industry, oversees the administration of the Texas workers’ compensation system, performs the duties of the State Fire Marshal’s Office, and provides administrative support to the Office of Injured Employee Counsel – a separate agency.
TDI’s vision is to be a dynamic leader in responsible state, national, and global regulation; consumer protection; and market viability.

Work Details
The vendor is required to provide virtual and in-person conference planning and education credit management services for the annual Texas Workers' Compensation Conference. This includes developing and managing the project plan, agenda, topics, speaker selection, registration process, marketing and communications, conference webpage, reports for each conference, as well as managing exhibitors and sponsors. The contractor must also have the financial capability to pay for all outlays associated with the planning and execution of the conference.

Period of Performance
The period of performance includes planning committee meetings during the planning stages of the conference, development of a project plan with TDI to guide the successful execution of the conference,
participation in planning committee meetings during the planning stages of the conference,
and providing weekly updated current registration lists in a mutually agreed upon electronic format.

Place of Performance
The Texas Workers’ Compensation Conference is usually held over a two (2) to three (3) day period in Texas. The dates and location of the conference are determined by the Commissioner of Workers’ Compensation.
