Mandatory On-Site Visit
HHSCwill conduct two mandatory on-site visits at the location specified below onthe dates and times identified in the Procurement Schedule (cover page of thisIFB) or on the dates and times established in subsequent Addenda.
Theon-site visit will include a review of the IFB requirements as well as awalk-through of the facility.
Attendanceat one on site visit is mandatory. Failure to attend in person will result inthe disqualification of a Bidder. Bidders not listed on the attendance log willnot be permitted to submit a Response.

Background
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking competitive bids to establish contracts for the replacement of compressed gas systems at the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Laboratory.
The goal of this contract is to replace outdated compressed gas switching shuttle valve stations and associated infrastructure to ensure efficient and safe operation of laboratory gas systems.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for replacing 20+ year old compressed gas switching shuttle valve stations between A&B compressed gas cylinders or Dewars for various gases including CO2, HPN2, UHPN2, and Argon.
The new automatic switching shuttle valve stations will provide visual notifications of which cylinders are in use along with pressure readings.
Additionally, all compressed gas connection hoses and associated check valves for the following gases must be replaced: CO2, HPN2, UHPN2, Argon, UHPHe, ARH2, P10, UHPCH4, UHRN2, ZGA.
The work must minimize disruption to laboratory testing operations.
Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is upon award, with services to be performed Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central Time.
After-hours work may be required during installation and testing.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of five years' experience with installation of compressed gas distribution systems and provide three verifiable references for similar services within the last three years.
All personnel assigned must have at least three years' relevant experience and be at least 18 years old.
Background checks are required for all personnel before they can begin work on state property.
