Background
The City of Waco is seeking vendors to provide comprehensive citywide maintenance and service for permanently installed generators within the City of Waco. The goal is to ensure optimal functionality and reliability of these critical assets, which are essential for city operations. This includes routine maintenance services such as inspections, testing, and preventive measures to ensure compliance with manufacturer recommendations and industry standards.
Work Details
The vendor will provide routine maintenance services including inspections, testing, and preventive measures. They will also address necessary repairs to restore functionality in the event of equipment failure. A detailed service plan outlining maintenance schedules, response times for repairs, and recommendations for enhancing generator performance must be submitted.
Emergency repair services must be available for urgent issues. Additionally, the vendor will provide telematic reporting on the status and health of each generator, including real-time data on operational performance, runtime hours, fuel levels, and alerts. All work must adhere to applicable safety regulations and standards. The City reserves the right to purchase additional generators during the contract term, expanding the scope of services accordingly.
Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to be performed over a period of 365 calendar days.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at approximately 26 city-owned locations within Waco that have backup power generators.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors must have at least five years of continuous experience in commercial/industrial generator repair and maintenance. They must possess all applicable certifications and licenses from the State of Texas required for maintaining, servicing, testing, and repairing generators covered under this contract.
A valid contractor’s license issued by the State of Texas is required along with registration with the City where work is performed. The contractor must employ a master electrician with at least five years of commercial/industrial experience.
