City of Humble - FY 2026 Joint and Crack Sealing Project

Background
The City of Humble, Texas, is issuing a solicitation for the FY 2026 Joint and Crack Sealing Project. This project aims to enhance the infrastructure by providing necessary maintenance to concrete pavement streets within the Northshire and Lakeland Subdivisions. The goal is to ensure the longevity and safety of these roadways through effective sealing techniques.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing and placing hot poured joint and crack sealant, as well as herbicide treatment for concrete pavement streets located in the Northshire Subdivision. The project includes all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals required for completion. Additionally, there is an add alternate involving joint and crack sealing for concrete pavement streets in the Lakeland Subdivision. Specific tasks include:

1. Preparatory work for sealing operations including field verification and measurement of sealing limits.
2. Weed control with herbicide treatment prior to cleaning and sealing of concrete pavement joints and cracks.
3. Cleaning and sealing of concrete pavement longitudinal centerline construction joints using Class 3 sealant (hot poured rubber-asphalt compound).
4. Cleaning and sealing of concrete pavement expansion joints, including sealing of driveway and inlet blockouts.
5. Cleaning and sealing of concrete pavement cracks ranging from 1/4" to 1/2" width.

Period of Performance
The construction work is expected to commence within ten (10) days after receiving a written Notice to Proceed from the Engineer and must be completed within thirty (30) calendar days thereafter.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in the Northshire Subdivision and Lakeland Subdivision within the City of Humble, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond, payment bond, and maintenance bond equal to 100% of the total contract price. Additionally, bidders must provide proof of insurance that meets all requirements set forth in the project manual with the City of Humble named as additional insured.
