CFBISD E-Rate 2026 C2 Firewall

Background
The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District (CFBISD) is seeking proposals from qualified local service providers to supply E-Rate Category 2 Firewall equipment and services. The goal of this contract is to enhance the district's network security infrastructure as part of their mission to provide a safe and effective learning environment for students.

Work Details
The vendor must provide and install all necessary equipment, materials, and services as specified in the RFQ. This includes:
- Installation of firewall equipment at multiple campuses across the district, ensuring operational readiness by the specified Equipment In Service date of July 1, 2026.
- Decommissioning, removal, and safe disposal of existing equipment, with a requirement for a certificate of recycling.
- Irrevocable deletion of all data from decommissioned equipment, with documented steps approved by the district.
- Provision of a customer representative and technical service representative as Project Managers during the first month post-installation.
- Installation services must include network engineering and design, installation and testing of all equipment, configuration of all equipment, decommissioning and data deletion, and network documentation.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award in early 2026 and must ensure that all equipment is operational by July 1, 2026.

Place of Performance
The installation will occur at multiple campuses within the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District located in Carrollton, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be able to offer pricing through DIR, TIPS, or other district-approved cooperative purchasing organizations. All responses to this RFQ must be submitted via the online system; emailed responses will not be accepted.
