Category 2: E-Rate Application Internal Connections

Background
Bryan Independent School District (BISD) is seeking competitive sealed proposals for Category 2 eligible internal connections to enhance its network infrastructure. The district aims to improve wireless connectivity by replacing aging equipment, specifically targeting cloud-managed network equipment compatible with existing Meraki devices. This initiative is part of the E-Rate program, which provides discounts on network systems and services for schools.

Work Details
The contract includes the provision of internal connectivity equipment consisting of cloud-managed network devices with a minimum of 7 years of device licensing or an equivalent subscription model. Additionally, the proposal should cover licensing and maintenance for existing equipment, ensuring compatibility with current Meraki wireless access points and switches. Vendors are encouraged to submit separate proposals for both areas or a combined proposal that offers a unified subscription model. All equipment must be new; no refurbished items will be accepted.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and terminate on June 30, 2027.

The services and delivery of products will take place at Bryan Independent School District, located at 800 South Texas Avenue, Bryan, Texas, 77803.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must possess an SLD authorized Service Provider Identification Number (SPIN) and Service Provider Annual Certification (SPAC) prior to contract signing. Proposals must comply with E-Rate funding requirements and state purchasing laws. Vendors should also provide proof of insurance and may need to undergo a national criminal background check for employees having direct contact with students.
