Canton Area Office Roof Replacement

Background
The Department of Public Safety of the State of Texas is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of the roof at the Canton Area Office located at 1601 North Trade Days Blvd., Canton TX 75103. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the roofing system meets current standards and provides adequate protection for the facility.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW):

1. Remove existing roofing materials down to the deck.

2. Construct new 8” tall parapet walls atop existing front and side walls where gutters were previously connected.

3. Maintain rear elevation gutters and downspouts.

4. Recreate proper roof slopes across the entire roof to direct rainwater through newly constructed wall scuppers into existing downspouts.

5. Install stainless steel scuppers sized 4” x 12” at new parapet walls to facilitate rainwater drainage.

6. Ensure all new roofing materials achieve an R-30 efficiency rating.

7. Reuse existing downspouts and paint them to match the new parapet cap color (Duran-odic bronze).

8. Install a PVC condensate drain line from the HVAC unit to the rear gutter on pipe supports.

Period of Performance
The contract term commences on the effective date stated in the signing document and expires on August 31, 2025, with a potential extension for up to six months if necessary.

The work will be performed at the Canton Area Office located at 1601 North Trade Days Blvd., Canton TX 75103.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) participation requirements and submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan (HSP) as part of their response. Additionally, bidders must provide evidence of financial stability, including audited financial statements or a statement regarding financial viability. They must also submit necessary documentation such as a Direct Deposit Authorization Form, Request for Taxpayer Identification Number (W-9), and Application for Texas Identification Number.
