Calibration Services for Labratory Equipment

Background
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking a supplier for a blanket contract to provide external calibration services for laboratory equipment, specifically balances, scales, and thermometers, across the state.
The mission of DPS is to ensure public safety and provide essential services to the citizens of Texas. This contract aims to maintain the accuracy and reliability of laboratory equipment used by DPS.

Work Details
The contractor will provide external calibration services for all balances, scales, and thermometers utilized by DPS statewide.
Services must comply with all requirements outlined in the contract, including but not limited to:
- Timely service calls during regular hours (within two days)
- Timely service calls outside regular hours (also within two days)
- Adherence to specified service call response times
- Development of a transition plan if a new contractor is awarded at the end of the term.
The contractor must also ensure that all personnel undergo fingerprint-based Criminal History Background Investigations as required by DPS.

Period of Performance
The contract term will commence on the effective date stated in the signing document and will last approximately four years and six months.
There is an option for DPS to extend performance for an additional six months if necessary.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed statewide across Texas at various locations where DPS operates.
