Building and Carpentry Materials

Background
The Socorro Independent School District (SISD) is seeking proposals to provide building and carpentry materials and services on an as-needed basis across the district. The goal of this contract is to ensure that SISD has access to necessary materials for various construction and maintenance projects, supporting the district's mission of providing quality education facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will supply a range of building and carpentry materials, including but not limited to: commercial doors, frames, hinges, drywall materials, ceiling tiles, roofing supplies, carpentry materials (such as particle board and plywood), concrete products, fasteners, tools, and accessories. Specific items include:
- Wood Doors: 3-0 7-0 R.H. & L.H. PREP for Lock “Steel Craft” Birch Solid Core 20 minute fire code.
- Hollow metal doors and frames with prep for locks.
- Drywall materials including ready mix joint compound.
- Ceiling tiles with specific fire resistance ratings.
- Roofing supplies such as all-purpose roof cement.
- Carpentry tools and equipment including particle board and plywood.

All items must meet specified standards and be delivered as per the requirements outlined in the solicitation.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of three years with two optional one-year extensions based on satisfactory performance.

Place of Performance
The services and products will be delivered to various locations within the Socorro Independent School District in El Paso, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with several requirements including:
- Submission of a completed EDGAR Vendor Certification Form.
- Acknowledgment of compliance with Texas Government Code regarding contracts with companies that boycott Israel or discriminate against certain industries.
- Submission of a Conflict of Interest Questionnaire (CIQ) if applicable.
- Compliance with criminal background check requirements for personnel who will have direct contact with students. Vendors must also provide identification badges for their employees performing services.
