Brazos Street, Trinity Street & Kathleen Court Paving, Water, Wastewater & Drainage Improvements

Background
The City of Garland is issuing a Request for Bid (RFB) for the Brazos Street, Trinity Street & Kathleen Court Paving, Water, Wastewater & Drainage Improvements project. The goal of this contract is to enhance the infrastructure in Garland, Texas, with a targeted budget range of $2,600,000.00 to $2,800,000.00.

The construction Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be issued in July/August 2026 with a duration of 200 working days.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for paving improvements and upgrades to water, wastewater, and drainage systems along Brazos Street, Trinity Street, and Kathleen Court. Specific tasks include:
- Removal and replacement of existing pavement
- Installation of new water mains and connections
- Upgrading wastewater lines
- Enhancing drainage systems to improve stormwater management

All work must comply with the specifications outlined in the bid documents and adhere to the City of Garland's Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction. Additionally, all work must maintain positive drainage during construction phases and ensure protection of existing utilities.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed in July/August 2026 and is expected to last for 200 working days.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Garland, Texas specifically along Brazos Street, Trinity Street, and Kathleen Court.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of their bid price. A Performance Bond and Maintenance Bond will also be required upon award. Bidders must comply with all local regulations including obtaining necessary permits for construction activities. Additionally, bidders must acknowledge acceptance of the City’s standard terms and conditions.
