Bluebonnet Parkway Improvements - Phase 1

Background
The City of McGregor is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Bluebonnet Parkway Improvements - Phase 1 project. The project aims to enhance approximately 2,000 linear feet of Bluebonnet Parkway by reconstructing and widening the roadway. The improvements are intended to facilitate better traffic flow and safety, particularly during the summer months when school is not in session.

Work Details
The project includes the following key components:
- Earthwork to remove existing road materials and widen the roadway.
- Installation of base material and hot-mix asphaltic concrete paving.
- Striping of the widened roadway.
- Demolition tasks such as removing existing drainage pipes and culvert wingwalls.
- Roadway improvements including unclassified excavation, fill, flexible base installation, prime coat application, tack coat application, and HMAC paving.
- Drainage improvements involving concrete box culverts and reinforced concrete riprap.
- Signage and pavement markings adjustments.

Period of Performance
The anticipated construction start date is May 2026, with completion expected during the summer months while school is not in session.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed on Bluebonnet Parkway in McGregor, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Proposal Security amounting to at least 5% of the total proposal price. They must also submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) detailing their experience and capabilities related to similar projects.
