Big Leaf Water Line Improvements Project

Background
The Town of Little Elm, Texas is seeking proposals for the Big Leaf Water Line Improvements Project, aimed at enhancing the water transmission infrastructure to support the community's water supply needs. The project involves significant construction work, including the design and installation of new water lines to improve service delivery.

Work Details
The project includes:
1. Final design and construction of approximately 1400 linear feet of a 24-inch water transmission line from the Mansell Pump Station through Bigleaf Drive to a connection near the intersection of Bigleaf Drive and FM 423.
2. Design and installation of a new parallel 8-inch water line, with relocation of water services from the existing 20-inch water line to the proposed 8-inch line.
3. Full panel replacement for disturbed pavement utilizing the Town’s standard details.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence following the award and must be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the bid documents. A public bid opening is scheduled for May 25, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Little Elm, Texas, specifically along Bigleaf Drive and surrounding areas as indicated in the project specifications.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a bid bond of five percent (5%) from a reliable Surety Company as a guarantee that they will enter into a contract upon award. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price from an approved Surety Company. Additionally, bidders are required to have all necessary insurance coverage as specified by the Town, including general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and any other relevant insurance policies.
