Bid 25-67 Construction of Pad - Fire Station

Background
Val Verde County is accepting sealed bids from contractors to construct a 60’x185’ pad for a bolt-up pre-engineered building. This project is located at a new site on Hwy 277 (between Hwy 90 & SL79) in Del Rio, TX. The goal of this contract is to provide the necessary labor for the construction of the pad, with all materials supplied by Val Verde County.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Constructing a 60’x185’ pad consisting of laying base material and compacting it for a bolt-up pre-engineered building.
- Subgrade treatment must be compacted to a minimum of 90% Standard Proctor Density.
- Placement and compaction of flexible base material (Grade 3 or 4) in maximum 8-inch loose lifts, each compacted to a minimum of 95% Standard Proctor Density.
- Final grading of the base surface using laser levels to ensure smoothness and proper elevation.
- All labor, equipment, and water required for compaction and grading are included in the scope. Exclusions include supply and delivery of flexible base material, hauling of material to the jobsite, compaction and density testing services, and benchmark layout or survey staking.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will be determined at a Pre-Construction meeting. The completion date will begin from the effective date of the executed contract or Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at a new site on Hwy 277 (between Hwy 90 & SL79) in Del Rio, TX.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid for contracts exceeding $100,000. A certified check or bank draft payable to Val Verde County may be submitted in lieu of the bid bond. The successful bidder must also provide a Performance Bond and/or Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved Surety Company licensed in Texas.
