Bid 25-57 Labor for Concrete Foundation for Bolt-Up Building - Event Center

Background
Val Verde County is seeking competitive sealed bids from construction companies to lay a concrete slab for a bolt-up pre-engineered building at the Val Verde County Fairgrounds in Del Rio, TX. The goal of this contract is to provide labor for the construction of a 70’x175’ concrete slab, with all materials supplied by Val Verde County.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Excavation of the area to required depths according to structural plans for the slab and footings, ensuring soil compaction to prevent settlement.
- Installation of formwork to create shapes for the concrete slabs and footings, securely installed to withstand concrete pressures.
- Construction of a 175’x70’ concrete slab foundation, including placing, leveling, and finishing the concrete as per industry standards. The concrete must be reinforced as specified in forthcoming structural plans.
- Construction of necessary footings for the warehouse and awning according to provided structural plans.
- Placement of anchor bolts in the slab and footings as specified in structural plans, ensuring correct positioning and alignment.
- Finishing the concrete slabs to a smooth surface or as otherwise specified, applying curing techniques as necessary.
- Maintaining a clean job site and adhering to OSHA safety guidelines throughout the project.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to follow a timeline determined at a Pre-Construction meeting after contract signing.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Val Verde County Fairgrounds located in Del Rio, TX 78840.
