Barber Services, Richmond State Supported Living Center

Background
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking competitive bids to establish contracts for barber services for the residents of Richmond State Supported Living Center (RSSLC). This initiative aims to provide quality grooming services to enhance the well-being of the residents. Both HHSC and the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) will have access to any contracts awarded as a result of this Invitation for Bids (IFB).

Work Details
The contractor will provide barber services, specifically haircuts and beard trims, to 318 residents at RSSLC. Services must be provided at least once a month, with potential for additional visits as agreed upon. The contractor must hold a valid barber's license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration and provide proof of liability insurance. Background checks via fingerprinting are required for all personnel, along with a current Texas driver's license or ID. The contractor is responsible for maintaining a Consultant Log at each visit.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is upon award, with services expected to be performed monthly during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Richmond State Supported Living Center, located at 2100 Preston, Richmond, TX 77471.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in providing barber services. Personnel assigned must have at least two years of relevant experience and be at least 18 years old. Bidders are encouraged to submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan if subcontracting opportunities exist. All responses must include verifiable references for similar contracts within the last two years.
