Avalon and Thomason Drive Extensions

Background
The Midland Independent School District (MISD) is issuing a competitive sealed bid for the Avalon and Thomason Drive Extensions project. This project aims to enhance roadway infrastructure in Midland, Texas, as part of the district's ongoing efforts to improve transportation facilities. Work Details
The scope of work includes various construction activities such as:

1. Preparation of right-of-way including removal of wire and pipe fences.
2. Removal of concrete structures including curb, gutter, sidewalk, and median.
3. Excavation for roadway and channel preparation.
4. Sub-grade preparation with specified depth and density control.
5. Seeding for erosion control and installation of erosion control mats.
6. Installation of 12" flex base, tack coat, bituminous prime coat, and HMAC asphalt pavement surface courses.
7. Construction of reinforced concrete box culverts, storm sewer systems, inlets, headwalls, sanitary sewer manholes, and water valve adjustments.
8. Mobilization for project setup and traffic control measures during construction.
9. Installation of concrete curb & gutter systems and various types of driveways and pedestrian access ramps.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within the timeline specified in the Agreement following the bid acceptance.

Bidders must provide evidence of their qualifications including a Bid Security (5% of the total bid amount), a list of proposed subcontractors and suppliers, proof of authority to conduct business in Texas, contractor's license number, and a completed Bidder Qualification Statement.
