Austin Building A Restroom Renovation

Background
The Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) is seeking a contractor to renovate select restrooms in Building A of their Headquarters located at 5805 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas 78752. This project aims to enhance the facilities within the headquarters to better serve its operational needs.

Work Details
The scope of work includes a complete renovation of existing restrooms, which will involve the installation of new fixtures and finishes. Specific tasks include demolition of existing structures, installation of plumbing fixtures, electrical work, and ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and standards.

The project will also require coordination with TXDPS personnel to minimize disruption during construction.

Period of Performance

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Texas Government Code §2161.252 regarding Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs). They are required to submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan (HSP) with their bid response. The contractor must demonstrate good faith efforts to utilize Texas certified HUBs for subcontracting opportunities.
