Arrivals and Departures Hall (AEDP)

Background
The project aims to facilitate the continued growth of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and establish it as the preferred airport for Central Texas. The existing Barbara Jordan Terminal (BJT) has surpassed its intended limits, and this project is essential to alleviate the strain on the existing infrastructure.

Work Details
The project involves designing a new Arrival and Departures Hall (A/D Hall) to replace the existing Red Garage, including the re-alignment of Presidential Blvd, curbside and new roadways, pedestrian bridges connecting parking and rental car facilities, and all associated utilities infrastructure work.
The A/D Hall building will include passenger ticketing check-in lobby, domestic baggage claim, enhanced passenger circulation, concessions, public restrooms, and additional space for airlines, DOA, tenants including TSA, and airport support and building systems.
The project also includes renovation required in the existing BJT to support its eventual conversion to a dedicated airside Concourse A.
