Armored Car and Bank Courier Services

Background
The Del Valle Independent School District (DVISD) is seeking proposals for Armored Car and Bank Courier Services within its boundaries, which cover approximately 174 square miles in the southeast sector of Travis County, Texas. The district serves 19 campuses and two district buildings, aiming to ensure secure transportation of funds and valuables. The selected vendor will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as a security services contractor.

Work Details
The vendor will provide weekly pick-up services for bank deposits from various school campuses and district buildings. Pick-ups are to occur between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., excluding holidays. During summer months, pick-ups will be limited to the District Administration Building.

The vendor must submit a pickup schedule for approval, maintain records of signed receipts, and ensure that all items are transported in an armored vehicle under dual control by uniformed personnel. The vendor is responsible for timely delivery of all deposits to Wells Fargo Bank and must notify the district immediately in case of delays or service issues. The contract includes provisions for flexibility in scheduling and cancellation rights with proper notice.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is set to begin on December 1, 2025, with options for renewal each July for four additional one-year periods, concluding on June 30, 2031.

Services will be performed within the Del Valle Independent School District boundaries in Travis County, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must provide proof of licensing as required by Texas law for security services. Proposals must include documentation validating qualifications, company history, hiring standards including background checks and drug testing, details on vehicle compliance with industry standards, and any subcontracting plans.

All employees must wear uniforms and carry identification badges while performing services.
