Armed Security Guard Services - TxDOT Toll Facilities

Background
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is seeking to establish a contract for on-site and armed security guard services at its toll facilities. Work Details
The contractor will provide armed security guard services at various TxDOT toll facilities. This includes monitoring the premises, ensuring the safety of staff and patrons, responding to incidents, and maintaining order.

The contractor must ensure that all security personnel are properly trained and licensed to carry firearms as per state regulations. The proposal must include a detailed plan for staffing, including qualifications and experience of personnel assigned to the contract.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for a period of 12 months from the date of award, with options for renewal based on performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at designated TxDOT toll facilities across Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Respondents must submit a VetHUB Subcontracting Plan (HSP) as part of their proposal. The HSP must demonstrate good faith efforts to include Veteran Owned Businesses (VetHUBs) in subcontracting opportunities.

A participation goal of 0% is set for VetHUBs per fiscal year. Respondents are required to comply with Texas Government Code §2161.252 regarding subcontracting plans, and proposals lacking an up-to-date HSP will be deemed non-responsive.
