Aransas Pass Janitorial Services

Background
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking bids for janitorial services at their Aransas Pass office located at 925 South Commercial, Aransas Pass, Texas 78336. The mission of DPS is to ensure public safety and provide essential services to the citizens of Texas. The goal of this contract is to maintain a clean and sanitary environment within the office facilities.

Work Details
The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for janitorial services. Services include daily cleaning tasks such as dusting, disinfecting surfaces, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining floors. Specific duties include:

- General Cleaning: Dusting public areas, cleaning drinking fountains, washing doors and baseboards, emptying trash containers daily.

- Restroom Cleaning: Scouring and disinfecting commodes and washbasins, mopping floors with disinfectant soap, cleaning mirrors and partitions.

- Floor Maintenance: Sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets weekly.

- Monthly/Semi-Annual Cleaning: Cleaning interior glass panels monthly and stripping/waxing vinyl composition tile floors every six months.

- During a pandemic, the contractor must implement CDC-approved protocols for maintaining hygiene and sanitation in the facility.

Period of Performance
The contract term will commence on the effective date stated in the signing document and will last for five (5) years with an option for a six-month extension if necessary.

Services will be performed at the Department of Public Safety Aransas Pass office located at 925 South Commercial, Aransas Pass, Texas 78336.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all requirements outlined in the solicitation including providing evidence of financial stability and capability to perform the required services. Additionally, contractors must ensure that personnel have passed background checks as required by DPS.
